The Purple Basil Dark Opal has a curious red / purple color, with a slightly liquorice aftertaste, great for preparing a purple pesto, to enrich a salad and fish dishes. Sow from May to July in large but not deep pots such as planters with universal compost (90%) and pumice stone or expanded clay (10%), place the seeds about half a cm deep, water once and keep it all. shade until the seedlings are born, which should happen within 4 - 6 days.
