The Mantovana Pumpkin is a symbolic vegetable of the Mantuan countryside area in Nord Italy, a basic ingredient for the preparation of Tortelli alla Zucca and Gnocchi di Zucca. It is characterized by its hard pulp and sweet taste. In addition to the indistinguishable shape that gave it the name of Cappello del Prete, the Mantovana Pumpkin is characterized by a sweet taste and a yellow-orange pulp, firm and not very fibrous. It is a low-calorie food, rich in vitamins and minerals, it is considered one of the most delicious pumpkins in the world.
