Little Devil Diamante

The Little Devil Diamante is a Calabrian Pepper known as Diavolicchio di Diamante and also know for its goodness and its diffusion, it takes its name from the town of Diamante in Calabria, Italy, home to an important Peperoncino Festival and the Italian Chili Academy. As you can see from the many photos and from the video linked later, it forms long cone-shaped fruits facing upwards, they are of an intense green color and then switch to fiery red once they have ripened. The plant is a Capsicum Annuum and does not develop a huge plant, to obtain a good harvest a 6 or 7 liter pot is enough, the ideal one would be 15 no more. I ate it this summer with great taste, I must say that I was surprised by two things, one is the relatively low spiciness, which I would attest between 20,000 and 40,000 shu, certainly less spicy than the cousin Diavolicchio Calabrese with which it should not be confused and two the truly fragrant and very tasty flavor, something unmissable for lovers of our Italian Chillies.
