+600 SEEDS COLLECTION OF THE GIANTS OF THE GARDEN
I have collected in this Collection 10 Varieties of Vegetables and Giant Fruit for the Garden, among these Seeds there are also Seeds with extraordinary competition genetics such as the Giant Pumpkin, the Giant Watermelon, the Giant Onion and the Giant Sunflower.
None of these Seeds are GMO and they are all 100% Made in Italy. Their characteristic of being giants was obtained with years of passion through natural crosses.
They are seeds that I have personally produced with my small individual company "Semi Strani di Carlo Martini" in Italy, which grows Seeds with "Tuscany Regional Authorization 6170", therefore the seeds are subjected to genetic controls to ensure the purity of what you buy, without therefore risking any rip-off on the quality of the Seeds and on the plants that these Seeds will actually give you. The seeds were produced during the last summer in Pistoia, Toscana, Italia, so they are very fresh seeds and totally made in Italy, you can sow them within 2 years of receiving them and if you keep them in the fridge they will remain viable for at least 10 years.
If you need information on Germination and Cultivation, here is the Guides Cultivation.
Here is the single description of each Variety of this Complete Seeds Collection of Watermelons and Melons:
- 03 Atlantic Giant Pumpkin Seeds (Cucurbita Maxima): the Atlantic Giant is the largest giant pumpkin in the world, obviously a Cucurbita Maxima and can reach over 1,000 kg, it goes without saying that it is not enough to put a seed in the ground to obtain this result, but know that in the Seed Genetics of Semi Strani, there is the potential to reach this level, like those you have probably seen online in various competitions around the World.
- 03 American Carolina Cross Giant Watermelon Seeds (Citrullus Lanatus): it is the largest watermelon in the world, this variety leads to giant, long, large and juicy fruits which, under optimal conditions, can weigh up to 100 kg. It goes without saying that this variety cannot be grown on the balcony and requires at least 7/8 square meters per plant of space in the Garden. One sachet of this beautiful and fun gift from Nature CONTAINS 03 SEEDS which of course will be sent to you in perfect condition with Competition Genetics.
- 05 Giant Martini Tomato Seeds (Solanum Lycopersicum): the Giant Martini Tomato is a Contest / Competition Tomato that develops few but gigantic fruits ranging from 1 to 2 kg depending on how good the farmer who grows them is. These are those seeds that no one will ever sell to you as these giant tomatoes produce a few dozen fruit seeds and therefore whoever has them keeps them for themselves... apart from the undersigned Carlo Martini who has decided to put the seeds up for sale a few hundred seeds that he has to spread them all over the world!
- 10 Giant Sunflower Seeds (Helianthus Annuus): this splendid Giant Sunflower can reach 5 meters in height, producing a beautiful large single flower. It is a lot of fun to grow because in the summer it grows constantly and you can see the difference every day. Very fun to put in the garden for children or to define a natural enclosure that is very beautiful to observe. It therefore has a more ornamental value than food, the seeds can still be toasted and eaten, they are very tasty and rich in nutrients. It is also very fun to grow in pots for children.
- 10 Cayenne Joe Long Seeds (Capsicum Annuum): Cayenne Joe Long is a splendid chili pepper whose very long pods measure approximately 20 - 30 cm. The flavor is excellent and the spiciness is relatively low (10,000 / 30,000 SHU) and therefore sustainable by everyone. It was imported into Italy by an Italian-Canadian community, but the variety was isolated by Joe Sestito from species coming from French Guiana. This chili pepper is perfect for drying and reducing to powder, it has a fresh flavor reminiscent of a mix between pepper and cucumber and can also be easily preserved in oil.
- 20 Giant Onion Seeds (Allium Cepa): the Giant Onion is a huge golden onion that reaches 2 or 3 kg in weight (about 6-8 lb). The surprising thing is that in addition to being beautiful large, more than the palm of your hand, it is also delicious and keeps well. These seeds come directly from the Guinness Book of Records onions of the English growers who hold the Guinness Book of Records title. In the UK this type of crop is particularly appreciated. In the photos you see the great Giant Onion growers are Paul Rochester and Peter. Glazebrook who honored me by sending me their Seeds.
- 100 Giant Winter Spinach Seeds (Spinacia Oleracea): Very easy to grow, this Giant Winter Spinach is particularly rich in Iron. It is interesting that this vegetable is sown when the garden is usually bare, that is in October, November to harvest in the middle of winter. It can also be grown in a pot on the terrace as it requires little sun to grow.
- 100 Seeds of Giant Basil of Naples (Ocimum Basilicum Crispum): the Giant Basil of Naples is a true gift from Nature: it has large, broad, blistered and very fragrant leaves. It is excellent for condiments and preserves, very easy to grow, it is originally from Naples. On my site you can find numerous types of basil, for me the best, in addition to the Giant Basil of Naples, are the Greek Basil and the Genoese Basil.
- 100 Giant Carrot Seeds (Daucus Carota): the exquisite Giant Carrot is rich in Vitamins A (beta-carotene), B, C and E, as well as Mineral Salts which promote the body's defenses. This variety produces carrots as large and dull as a forearm! They are sown from February to July, gradually, to have a continuous harvest, under tunnels it is possible to sow them as early as October. Sow at a distance of 30 cm.
- 300 Giant Parsley Seeds (Petroselinum Crispum): Giant Parsley is appreciated and known for its aromatic and therapeutic properties, it is used in the kitchen for hundreds of dishes. As the well-known saying goes, it goes well with all dishes, the leaves and stems are the parts used, both for fresh consumption and for the preparation of sauces, soups and fish. For example, it is used chopped to add to salads or clam sauce or vice versa with whole leaves in roasted fish. It has a pungent and slightly bitter flavor that enlivens the flavor of other herbs. Parsley is rich in Vitamin A, B, C and K and mineral salts such as Potassium, Calcium and Iron; acts positively on the functions of the liver, helping to purify the body; it is also rich in antioxidant substances; the compressed leaves are used to relieve mosquito bites; It has diuretic and sudorific properties, mainly due to a flavonic substance: apioside. In Chinese herbal medicine it is also used as a remedy for high blood pressure.
